What is Seattle Angel?

Seattle Angel is a not for profit organization, focused on educating angel investors, entrepreneurs, and prospective team members about the ins and outs of raising startup capital, scaling business operations, and related legal and financial issues. We welcome first-time investors and entrepreneurs. We provide opportunities to learn, including collaboration with seasoned male and female investors and investment workshops. We foster a collaborative culture that is a balance of professionalism and relaxed atmosphere. Seattle Angel brings together new and experienced investors living in greater Seattle and leverages their combined knowledge, resources, and experiences to find and fund early stage startups in the Pacific Northwest.

Opportunity

Despite its unique history and potential, Seattle routinely ranks behind other cities recommended to entrepreneurs seeking seed capital and a supportive environment for growth. That has sometimes led entrepreneurs to relocate their businesses elsewhere, closer to more established investment hubs. Seattle has a strong, growing, startup community, a rich pool of talented entrepreneurs, and an underdeveloped investment community. Seattle Angel educates entrepreneurs and investors to work collaboratively to to address this need.

The Seattle Angel Fund is an investment fund comprised of angel investors. The Fund is an annual, investor-driven fund, and will typically invest in five to seven in launch stage companies across all industry sectors. Seattle Angel, a not for profit organization provides educational content and instruction for members of the fund.
